QCC Privacy Policy
QCC commits to comply with Australian Privacy & Personal Information Protection Acts, to protect the privacy of our customers.
Safety through SSL
We are dedicated to keeping your details private. All of QCC’s online connections and online payment procedures are done through a secure server using the 128bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, issued by an internationally verified certificate authority. This allows your browser to encrypt any data it sends to our server, so that even if someone intercepted your information as it traveled across the Internet they would not be able to read it.
Your details are ours only
The issue of our customer’s privacy is something we take seriously and appropriate measures are in place to ensure that any information given to us by our customers is protected. We acknowledge the sensitivity of your personal information and will never share your details with any other organization. The only time information may be shared is for legal, security and verification purposes, which also ensure your safety as a consumer.
At QCC, we use the information you give us to identify and process your orders, provide you with relevant communications (newsletter, occasional special deal emails) and to help personalize your shopping experience in our webstore. If at any time you wish to cancel receiving our e-news mailouts, please let us know at qcc@qconnect.com.au so we may unsubscribe you (also see e-mail policy).
What about cookies?
We use cookies to allow you to login to your account, maintain a shopping cart and to purchase items in your shopping cart. Cookies also allow us to give you a more personalized shopping experience by displaying products that interest you throughout our product pages, providing you with a more friendly, interesting and enjoyable shopping experience. Cookies sent to your computer from our site only last while you are browsing our website and are not stored on your computer.
Whenever you use our site, or any other website, the computer on which the webpages are stored needs to know the network address of your computer so that it can send the requested webpages to your internet browser. The unique network address of your computer is called its IP address and is sent automatically each time you access any internet site.
From a computer’s IP address, it is possible to determine the general geographic location of that computer, but otherwise it is anonymous. QCC does not keep a record of the IP addresses from which you access our site, except where you have specifically provided us with information about yourself, in which case we also record your IP address for security purposes.
An example of this would be when proceeding to a checkout to finalize an order. After completing the form provided, your IP address will be stored along with a transaction number that allows us to track your order.
In order for us to fulfill an order placed through our webstore, it is necessary for us to collect certain information from you. The type of customer information we ask for includes name and address for billing and delivery purposes, phone number, email address, and product details.
